I added some crushed red pepper flake when sauteing the veggies, and used passata instead of diced tomatoes. I also added a can of drained chickpeas. An excellent dish! It reminds me of a classic tomato vegetable soup. I did not find the flavors to be bland at all, and only used the juice from half a lemon. For the broth I used a combo of beef broth and chicken bone broth.

This soup was delicious! I love spicy so used fire roasted diced tomatoes- I also sautéed the onion, pepper and celery first to soften before adding potatoes-zucchini also made it great!
