This does taste exactly like a snickers bar to me. It is really important to use a super smooth tahini, like the brand recommended in the recipe. I used a store bought tahini that was on the thinner side and it made the bars super hard to cut because they never really firmed up. When I make this recipe again, I’ll be sure to use that brand. Thank you for a healthy dessert idea.

I give the flavor of the bars 100/10…delicious, decadent, and so rich to where I can only eat 1, which is a great thing because I have a major sweet tooth and tend to over eat. 1 of these bars and I am highly satisfied, they taste amazing. Not sure if it’s just me but I processed the pitted dates until they were smooth and they don’t really set enough to make it very practical to eat like a “bar” just extremely messy and sticky like a fudge or sludge haha. Still, I would make these again and plan to try to make a variation of them while keeping the dates whole. Oh and I sprinkled sea salt flakes on top…*chefs kiss*

Really good! My only issue is that the tahini melts quickly once taken out of freezer, however, I solve that by eating it quickly 🙂 Used date paste I had and also date sweetened choc chips. Unfortunately, won’t be able to plate these for holiday table since it melts quickly so will keep it for myself. Excellent recipe otherwise. Thanks!
