Ministry of Tourism launches new website: Tourism.jo opens the door

In line with its plans to promote Jordan as a distinguished tourists-attracting country, the Ministry of Tourism and Antiquities has launched its new website that widely opens the doors to explore the splendor of tourism in Jordan. The bilingual website www.tourism.jo is designed in a distinctive manner that attracts viewers’ interest and allows them to easily find the information they are seeking.

The website provides rich information about popular tourism sites in the country, useful documents and maps of Jordan as well as news of the Ministry. In addition, it incorporates the ministry’s e-services, which includes e-licensing procedures for hotels, travel agencies and tourist guides in Jordan.

Visitors of the website can send further inquiries or suggestions to the Ministry and receive responses through the provided hotline contact services. His Excellency Dr Taleb El Rifai, Minister of Tourism and Antiquities said, “The new site can be considered an encyclopedia about tourism in Jordan.

It is advanced and informative for the visitor. It also includes information about the Ministry’s services, departments, functionality and the Ministry’s Associations”. His Excellency added, “We are proud to be one of the first ministries to provide informative e-services, which serve customers and citizens, and we look forward to finalizing true transactional e-services in the near future.” “The newly launched website has been designed and built by ESKADENIA’s creative team of developers using the latest in both design and development. We are glad to have been part of this national project”, stated Ms Doha Abdelkhaleq, director at ESKADENIA
