The study tour’s aim was to witness an association that successfully represents and supports the ICT sector in Jordan. The delegation met with int@j board members, management, and ICT business leaders and discussed the history of the association, the future goals of Jordan’s ICT sector, and the associations approaches to business plannng, volunteerism, and financial stability.
The delegation was also interested in the strong public-private-partnership between int@j and the Ministry of ICT. Areas of potential cooperation between the ICT sectors in the two countries was also looked into.
In addition to meeting with int@j, the delegation met with select members of the ICT Advisory Council – a national public-private partnership initiative that acts as an advisory board to the Minister of ICT in Jordan. This board is appointed and consists of members from both the private and public sectors. It is a unique example of a national public-private partnership.
