Arab Thought Foundation launches Web site for upcoming conference

The head of the Arab Thought Foundation, Saudi Prince Khalid al-Faisal, has launched the official Web site of the body's upcoming conference at a ceremony in Riyadh.

The Arab Thought Foundation (ATF) Fifth Conference (Fikr 5) will be held at Habtoor Grand Hotel in Beirut, on December 2 and 3 under a theme of "Arab Strategies for the Global Era,"the ATF said in a statement.

"The conference will focus on energy, investment, media, technology and social responsibility. Bringing together the most intelligent and insightful businessmen and scientists," Prince Khalid said.

"The Arab Thought Foundation aims to develop a long-term strategic plan for Arab nations. The conference also provides a forum to discuss freely and independently the status of Arab world in a global environment."

The launch of the Web site, www.arabstrategies.org, was attended by Prince Bandar bin Khaled al-Faisal, who is the conference's chief executive officer, and Hamad bin Abdullah al-Ammari, conference executive director. "The launch will allow communication between the organization and prospective attendees," said Prince Bandar.

The Arab Thought Foundation is an independent, non-governmental body focusing on science, medicine, economics, administration, media, literature and the arts.
